Zatom is a molecular and crystal-structure modeling and visualization app, published by ZAUQ (造物契). It combines local scientific tools with optional online lookups and an AI Assistant.
Zatom does not require an account. The app contains no advertising or analytics SDK. Structure files imported into the editor are parsed and rendered on your device. They are not automatically attached to Assistant requests.
Assistant chat history and interface preferences are stored on your device. Deleting a conversation in the app removes the local copy only; it does not send a deletion request to the Assistant service.
When you use online scientific searches, Zatom sends the relevant query terms, chemical formulas, element symbols, database identifiers, or SMILES representations over HTTPS to retrieve the data you requested:
Network service providers receive the connection information needed to handle requests. Cloudflare handles connections to our proxies; the app also connects directly to RCSB and PubChem. The app does not submit an advertising identifier.
The optional Assistant uses the Solrizon AI research service (agent.solrizon.com), accessed through our Cloudflare Worker proxy. A request includes your submitted text, the selected task type, and a session identifier when continuing a conversation. That identifier lets the service use earlier turns in the same conversation. Structures in the editor are not automatically included.
Solrizon uses the official DeepSeek API to generate Assistant responses. Submitted text and the conversation context needed for a response are processed by DeepSeek. Its Open Platform Terms describe the API service. DeepSeek's API documentation describes default disk-based context caching, usually cleared within hours to days after it is no longer used. This cache behavior is not a retention guarantee for other provider logs.
Our Assistant question-and-answer records are retained for 7 days. To request deletion of those records, email hi@solrizon.com. Please provide enough information to identify the conversation, such as its approximate date, without emailing unnecessary sensitive information. The seven-day period applies to those conversation records; it is not a promise about third-party infrastructure logs.
Zatom and Solrizon do not use Assistant questions and answers for model training, advertising, or cross-app tracking. We have not independently verified DeepSeek's training use or request/security-log retention for this integration. The seven-day period above applies only to our Assistant conversation records, not to DeepSeek's data processing or other infrastructure logs.
You can use local modeling without sending Assistant questions. Avoid submitting personal, sensitive, or confidential information. Deleting local chat history does not delete service-side records.
Audio is captured while you hold the voice button and stops when you release it or leave the voice interface. Apple's speech recognition transcribes it on-device where supported, or using Apple's service otherwise, under Apple's privacy policy. Zatom does not write the audio recording to a file or send the audio to Solrizon.
The resulting transcript is submitted to Solrizon to answer your question and is handled like typed Assistant text. You can revoke microphone and speech recognition access in iOS Settings.
Online lookups and Assistant are optional. To stop sending new Assistant requests, stop using that feature; local modeling remains available. You can delete local conversations in Assistant history and request deletion of service-side question-and-answer records at hi@solrizon.com.
We will update this notice when our data practices change. Material changes to the in-app supplemental terms require you to review the updated terms.
